| Brief History  SLSQ Point Danger Branch was founded in 1924 and is the oldest and most southern Branch in Queensland. The branch was started by members of Kirra and TH&C surf life saving clubs. Each club works closely with the branch to run successful carnivals and training for their members. The Point Danger Branch supports the clubs with the necessary administration to maintain the highest standards of Surf Life Saving. Junior Activities Information Each club has their own individual program and members of the community are encouraged to contact the clubs individually to discuss their junior activities program. Junior activities programs at some clubs start at 5 years and runs through to under 14's. For more information please contact your local surf club Junior Activities contact.  Surf Sport The branch coordinates between 6 - 10 surf sports events throughout the season. These events are available for junior members (7-13) and senior members (14+). Disciplines involve surf race, board race, surf ski, surf boat, beach sprints, beach flags, R&R etc. Surf Sports is a great way for lifesavers of all ages to enhance their skills in a competitive and safe environment. |
