Celebrate 100 years of Surf Life Saving in Queensland

Witness a re-creation of the first ever recorded rescue on a Queensland Beach. This activity will be followed by a spectacular display of the evolution of Queensland lifesaving over the last 100 years showcasing our operational ‘fire-power' such as jet boats, IRB's, wave runners and helicopter. Tweed Heads & Coolangatta Surf Club will also host a range of family friendly activities at the beach on the day.

Surf Life Saving's CSA campaign
Surf Life Saving is pleased to announce the completion of a new television commercial which is going to air immediately with the tag line "whatever it takes". The overall objective is to move the lifesaving movement into its next century - benefiting from the awareness and goodwill of 2007 Year of the Surf Lifesaver and moving the brand forward to expand understanding of the role of the Surf Lifesaving movement. The main objectives of the campaign are to: - Encourage membership
- Encourage donations
- Encourage safe behaviour whilst enjoying the beaches
